He was perched on the stalagtite in a precarious position, his long and lean body coiled around it, talons embedded deep into the rock. A smile graced his lips, "Are you ready for your first riddle? Remember, you know the consequences if you answer incorrectly." He spoke smoothly, without a hint of the obvious effort his body was making to stay hanging from the ceiling, as his head gestured to the screaming pit of trapped souls behind him.

"I am ready," It was all the pitiful soul answered.

Timeless nodded, searching through his vast plethora of riddles to challenge the new comer with. "You're in a mansion and the power's out. You see a green door and a red door. Pick one."

"Umm, the red one?"

"Very well," Timeless sighed, "Now you see a purple door and a orange door. Pick one."

"The purple door." The human spoke a little stonger, his courage picking up as he survived one second at a time.

"Interesting decision. Are you sure with that answer?" The blinded creature swayed his head to a fro like a cobra ready to strike, the sight unnerved the man who had risked his very existence to stand before Timeless.

"Yes sir?" the courage left as soon as it had come.

"As you wish, Now you see a door with a golden handle and a door with a silver handle. Pick one."

Confused, "Oh, umm the golden handle?" He shifted on his feet, the feelings of uncertainty causing him to perspire.

"What a lovely color, gold. Riches and the world begs for riches. You finally come to some signs on three doors. One says "Death from drowning," another says "Death from machine guns," and the last one says "Death from electric chair." Then you see a big sign off to the side that says "Or stay in the mansion and starve to death." What do you choose and still live?"

"Huh?"

"Huh is most defiantly not in the answers. I will give you one more chance; You finally come to some signs on three doors. One says "Death from drowning," another says "Death from machine guns," and the last one says "Death from electric chair." Then you see a big sign off to the side that says "Or stay in the mansion and starve to death." What do you choose and still live?"

"It's a trick question! You can't survive all of those things, you even say that I die in every option!" The man screamed at Timeless, reeling in anger at being tricked.

The malicious laugh that came from the toothy maw of the Guardian of Wisdom brought the frail two-legged creature to a halt. "Foolish mortal, the power is out."

"Oh, well then the electri…." His voice echoed as his soul was torn from his body and hurled into the pit. His body crumpled to the ground, lifeless.

"What a shame. If only they paid closer attention. Oh well, another little prize for me." His smile, widened as he allowed himself to relax back into a peaceful sleep, still hanging from his cavernous ceiling.
Another little look at timeless. I just love his personality, it really pleases me. :D

That is priceless, almost ... timeless.
